Newsletter 2010
26 06 2010Greetings in the Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to all our Partners and Friends….
The last few months have kept us on the go fr0m coast to coast.
Since we minister from ages 2 – 92, there was a need to enlarge our Children’s Ministry; therefore, our new Puppet Theatre made its debut. It is a tri-level theatre over ten feet wide. A church in Parker,AZ donated it to us and Debbie’s mom, Karen spent numerous hours making the curtains.
The message of the Gospel is presented in many creative ways. We had the opportunity to lead a week long outdoor Family Outreach Festival in Southern Arizona. The family used music, skits, and hunor to draw the folks in and of course…the Gospel was presented and the altar was open. A little Native American girl was happy to spend endless time by Debbie’s side.
Bringing encouragement to Senior Centers is always a blessing. We not only continue to spent our week days ministering to seniors in various conditions and locations, but we managed to reach many while on the road up the western coast in Morro Bay, CA.
WNGN—The Northeast Gospel Radio Network and the President Brian Larson asked us to return to do a musical and ministerial tour of the New England area. They have been very supportive regarding radio airplay for Bobby’s CDs. It was a blessing to encourage and disciple and to not only see familiar faces from previous visits but to see new guests arrive and be touched by what the Lord had prepared through us for their hearts. These small communities are filled with buildings that are anywhere from 100 to 300 years old and many still ring the bell on top of the steeple to announce that church is ready to begin. God is moving in one heart at a time in those churches as we have witnessed several miraculous healings in those precious hearts.
We spent time ministering in Utah which is highly populated with Mormons. The southern area is very beautiful and for a moment we thought we were the Flintstones in Bedrock.. Many decisions for Christ were made. At the end of one particular service in Kanab, an older man came forward and introduced himself as Vistor Phillips. He said he was touched by the message and informed us that he was the youngest Great Grandson of Brigham Young. He said that the Lord told him to get out of Mormonism and serve the true Jesus of the Bible. He is now living and serving in that little town. What a blessing to hear such a powerful testimony! Those who truly seek the Truth will be set free!
From the rich green terrain of the upper East Coast to the dry, yet beautifully unique terrain of the ancient Indian ruins in Utah, we have had the honor to go and be a part of the Great Commission.
Whether we go as Gospel Missionaries, Evangelists, Christian Recording Artists, or Speakers….
Whether we present Worship Services, Outreach Concerts, Discipleship Revivals, Growth Seminars, Kid’s Crusades, Seminrs, or Camps….
Whether we bring powerful messages with a touch of humor or dynamic music to touch the soul….
The fact remains that there are souls everywhere waiting to hear the Good News that Jesus saves! We will continue to pursue His call onour lives as we pray for more doors of opportunity to open and as He continues to use His children, people like you, to partner with us in the mission field-wherever that may lead!
Knowing Him and making Him known,
Bobby & Debbie Lacey & Preston

“Reflections” Newsletter
8 01 2010Praise the Lord for a New Year to serve!
As we reflect back on 2009, we thank our Lord and Savior for His enabling grace and your prayers and support allowing us to reach and encourage literally hundreds with the Gospel of Christ.
“I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord”
Our year began by hosting several students from South Korea in our home town of Payson, Arizona. Debbie designed and taught the American Culture and English Immersion classes and Bobby taught the Bible classes. Six students received Christ as their Lord and Savior after a month of Christian influence and one powerful altar call service in California with Dr Samuel Kim.
The international doors of opportunity opened as we traveled to South Korea and ministered there for two weeks in numerous churches and schools. We visited the leprosy colony, Prayer Mountain, and Cultural Mission Center. We had the honor to meet and spend time with Dr Cho-pastor of the world’s largest church and world evangelist Billy Kim.
Across the country we went as we toured in upstate New York and witnessed numerous decisions for Christ in several churches throughout the region. We took a moment to stop and pray at Ground Zero and see Lady Liberty before returning home.
Local ministry was placed on our hearts as well, as Debbie began a Bible Study for women in the mountain region here called “Women of the RIM”. The whole family presented a concert in the pines to reach out to the un-churched residents.
Trips were made down to the valley to visit those in hospitals, to pray for them and remind them they are loved. One man received Christ there on his bed.
Senior Centers are a regular blessing for us to bring the Gospel through teaching, hymn sings and fun skits. So many have come to know Christ personally and we can now see the joy on their faces as we enter. Even some staff members have got saved! It is so important for them to have this fellowship as they are getting closer to seeing Jesus face to face. We bring the Word to these wonderful seniors regularly. One day there were some guests visiting. One was a 14 year old grandson of one of the patients. At the end of the service Bobby was led to give an altar call. Two more patients plus the grandson accepted Jesus as their Savior. There was a man who came to the front desk to pick up a check. They could not find it until right after the altar call. Isn’t God awesome…
That’s what we call Divine appointment!
Time Out Shelter had their 13th annual fund raiser for abused women and families. We were honored to assist them and the local Christian Community school by providing the musical entertainment and being the auctioneers.
Our web site was completely re-designed from scratch by a wonderful lady Jamie Alexander (jamie@nightstormdesigns.com). It now represents the ministry completely through word, picture, testimonial blogs, and audio. It is very user friendly to pull up, review, and communicate through. www.rockofsafety.com
Special worship services were presented throughout the states to encourage and disciple church members.
Evening family Concerts were presented throughout the states to reach out to the un-churched communities.
Revival services were presented throughout the week with congregational worship, special heart-felt solos, family skits, and full length challenging sermons. The altars were filled with hearts desiring to be re-kindled for service.
Ministerial speaking took place at women’s luncheons, men’s breakfasts, and youth gatherings.
Friendship Sundays were used to instruct and assist churches experiencing lower attendance. By teaching the oikos method, most experienced their weekly attendance doubling!
Words do not seem enough to describe how much God moved through Rock of Safety this past year and the impact you had in the ministry and our personal lives with your prayers, love gifts, and words of encouragement during the most difficult year in our ministry. God’s grace is sufficient and His mercy is everlasting. We will not look back, but will continue to run the race with our eyes on the horizon, looking forward to our Savior-the author and finisher of our faith.
May the Lord continue to Provide and Protect you and your family as only He can do as you continue to place Him first in you life and serve Him daily. We love you in the Lord!

Local Community Outreach
25 05 2009After much travel internationally and across the United States, we are now spending some time on the west coast. God has placed it on our hearts to spend time in between scheduled bookings to give back to our local community.
There are numerous assisted living, rest home and hospice centers in Payson. We gave our first service at the Powell House and six wonderful seniors accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior- including their new activities director – Praise the Lord! Just seeing their warm faces was such a blessing. They did not want us to leave but we promised them we would be back regularly. Well, we did return on our regularly scheduled vist, brought Lacey and Preston along to love on them and two more seniors got saved – Hallelujah!
Debbie established a needed woman’s Bible study group titled “Women of the Rim” (Refreshing Intimate Mornings). Debbie leads this study each week, reaching out to the un-churched mountain region locally. They have welcomed new guests with an open invitation to any women, so please pray for not only great discipleship but new souls for God’s Kingdom! The Bible Study has tripled in size in just the last month!
We returned to minister in the Kingman community and gave a morning service and evening concert. There was a man named Peter who had been attending church there for six months. He told us that evening God spoke to his heart and asked Jesus to come into his life. The next week he was baptised before moving on to another town. Isn’t God awesome!
Since we spend most of our ministerial time out of town, we were super blessed to present a dynamic Sunday morning service at Crossroads Church in our home town of Payson. The pastor had a camp meeting scheduled out of town and asked us to fill the puplit for him. Booth new and mature Christians all left challenged and encouraged in their walk with Christ. Several rededicated their lives to Christ in service and one young boy Nathanial accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior – That’s what it is all about, amen?
This ministry depends on the monthly financial support of God’s people and churches who are mission minded. People like you enable us to minister and take the Gospel to the open doors God provides. If you are a monthly supporter, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You have partnered with us for the souls that we will see some day in Heaven. Rock of safety Ministries now has 30% of otsd needed monthly support. We must reach the 100% mark this year in order to stay afloat. Please pass the word to other mission-minded believers who may be able to partner with us to build God’s Kingdom. If you are not yet a partner with Rock of Safety Ministries, you may begin today. You can do this safe and secure right here on our web site. Remember, all donations are tax deductible. May the Lord continue to bless you and your household in Jesus’ Name!

Mission Trip to New York
24 05 2009The North East Gospel Radio Network hosted our 4th annual Mission trip to upstate New York. We ministered in five of the surrounding towns around the Albany area. The weather was nice and the hearts were warm and receptive. It was a blessing to be reunited with familiar faces and to meet new ones as well.
Many small churches do not expect to ever have special guests with high quality and powerful presentations; therefore, it is always a blessing for us to include them during our travels. Many decisions were made for Christ-either first time salvations or rededications. We had many opportunities to have one on one prayer with those in need.
Many pastors are quietly struggling to stay afloat and to motivate their people to reach out to their community for Christ. We were able to offer prayer and encouragement for them with a reminding assuranace that they are not alone. Along with our evangelistic focus, it is always our goal to offer refreshment to pastors and lay people who are pouring out every day for the Great Commission.
Before returning, we had the opportunity to spend our last day in the NY City & Manhattan area. We took the moment to stop at Ground Zero and pray for the families still dealing with the impact of 9-11. We said hello to Lady Liberty before returning to Arizona.
Since the first of the year Rock of Safety Ministries has had to face one challenge or trial after another. We realize that we are in a spiritual battle field and taking that step of faith as a family of Gospel Missionaries does not make the enemy happy. But greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world, amen? After returning to the PHX airport, we went to the economy parking lot to get into our car for the drive home. There was a nice hand bag given to us from Dr Cho in Korea which had our ministerial notes, our journals, personal handwritten testimonies, songs, a very specialBible given to us from Bobby’s mom before she went home to be with the Lord, our digital camera, and the love offerings received during the trip. We always kept a close eye on it; however, somehow it vanished at the parking lot and we noticed it officially missing when we arrived home. It is probably the most “spiritual” bag filled as one can get!! It is our prayer that it will be used as a vessel to minister to whoever found it or took it. Who knows…they might get saved!
Please keep us in prayer for God’s gracious protection and provision. We will be ministering closer to home for a while as we also pursue giving back to our own community for Christ.

Mission Trip to South Korea a Success
14 04 2009

With God’s blessings, Bobby & Debbie spent two weeks ministering in several cities in South Korea. Our journey took us to Churches, Schools, Educational Centers, Migrant Communities, and a Leprosy Colony. Bobby with Dr. Cho members.

Bobby with Dr. Cho World’s largest church with over a million members
We were honored to be invited to meet with the most powerful and influential evangelistic leaders in Korea. South Korea is about 45% Christian due to an ongoing revival. What refreshed our spirits was the reason for church growth. They put Christ first in all aspects of their daily life. They are fervent prayer warriors. Most attend 5:00 AM prayer meetings before they begin their day. Many churches have numerous services with standing room only. The people are hungry for the Word of God. Therefore, not only was our ministry received with open and excited hearts, our hearts were replenished as well.
Ministry began during our initial 13 hour flight. We met and prayed for a woman on the jet who had just lost her father in the Philippines. Then there was a young man in the airport who was returning to Korea because his father was receiving special experimental cancer treatments.
From early morning prayer meetings to late evening services, our bodies were tired but our spirits said, “Here I am Lord…send me!”

The Far East Broadcasting Network is in Seoul and reaches out to Korea, Japan, Asia, and Russia. They offer broadcasting in all languages and have a daily children’s network in English as well. They enjoyed hearing about our new children’s CD and want to include it on their broadcast. As we pray, we will keep you posted on the progress – PTL!
We spent an hour praying at Prayer Mountain. There were individual Prayer Grottos. Over 10 thousand people visit Prayer Mountain during the week and 30 thousand visit on the weekends.
This was the Emperor’s place to get away and rest. After looking at all those steps anyone would need rest.
NEW MINISTERIAL OPPORTUNITIES
Ministry has us traveling very often; however, we want to be used of God in our own home community as well. Therefore, we are beginning a local Mogollon Rim Bible Study, plus will be ministering in Hospice Centers and Nursing Homes.

Your support allows us to continue to reach out for Jesus Christ domestically and foreign – Thank you!
